The Lord Nelson has recently undergone a complete renovation and transformation visitors old and new will quite simply not recognise the place.

From its complete new look on the outside with a new extension and all new fixtures and fittings it is simply stunning.

To mark this momentous transformation we decided to have a new look website, please take your time to have a look around and let us know what you think when you visit us.

How to find us

The Lord Nelson is a friendly country style pub in the city. Situated within a conservation area and in the middle of the Gorton Heritage trail.

It is 300 years old and together with its original oak beamed ceiling and traditional cask ales and lagers, it is a unique local pub with a warm friendly atmosphere.

We are situated on the main A57 Hyde Road just passed the junction with Chapman Street. For a detailed map click here.
